Karin Kleigrewe, Postdoc
Karin joined the Gerwick Lab as Post-Doctoral Researcher with a DAAD fellowship in February 2013. She obtained her Ph.D. last year at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster in Germany.During her thesis she worked in the lab of Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Humpf. Her research focus was on the isolation, structure elucidation and analytics of Fusarium toxins and their biosynthetic pathways. Her thesis was honored with the Sybille-Hahne Price 2012. At the Gerwick lab Karin wants to deepen her knowledge about biosynthetic pathways. Therefore she combines mass spectrometric methods and genomic data to identify new natural products and their biosynthetic pathways.
